2025 Subaru Impreza Trim Levels

Following its complete redesign in 2024, which brought updated underpinnings and technology while discontinuing both the sedan body style and manual transmission, the 2025 Subaru Impreza trim levels continue now exclusively in hatchback form with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). It offers three distinct trim levels that blend practicality, safety, and all-weather capability to cater to different driving preferences and lifestyle needs. Let's explore what the Subaru Impreza trims offer and what sets them apart.

2025 Subaru Impreza Base Model

The 2025 Subaru Impreza Base model is an impressive entry point into the Impreza family that demonstrates Subaru's commitment to delivering value without compromise. Standard features include the renowned Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system, a responsive 2.0-liter four-cylinder Boxer engine producing 152 horsepower, and a Lineartronic CVT. The advanced EyeSight driver-assist technology comes standard, featuring automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-centering capabilities. Interior amenities include a dual seven-inch STARLINK Multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, automatic climate control, and comfortable cloth upholstery.

2025 Subaru Impreza Sport Model

The 2025 Subaru Impreza Sport trim adds a sporty flair to the Impreza with performance and design enhancements. It features SI-DRIVE technology, paddle shifters, and 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels for a more responsive and dynamic driving experience. LED fog lights and folding side mirrors with integrated turn signals add to the sleek aesthetic of the vehicle. Inside, the Sport trim boasts an 11.6-inch touch-screen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration and 4G LTE Wi-Fi capability. The sport cloth upholstery with red contrast stitching adds a touch of style to the interior.

2025 Subaru Impreza RS

The top-of-the-line Subaru Impreza RS trim adds more luxury and performance features to the already well-equipped Sport trim. It boasts a more powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder Boxer engine and a sport-tuned suspension for improved handling. Heated front seats come standard, with a power driver's seat option for added convenience. The RS also features cloth upholstery with red accents for a touch of sportiness and style. Other notable features include a retractable and removable cargo area cover and 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels with a dark gray finish.

Performance and Efficiency

The 2025 Impreza is expected to maintain its predecessor's two powertrain options. This includes a CVT automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, which come standard on all models. The base configuration features a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-four engine, generating 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. The RS trim's 2.5-liter engine delivers a more robust 182 horsepower and 178 pound-feet of torque.

With the 2.0-liter engine, the 2024 Impreza achieved impressive EPA fuel economy ratings of 27 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. These numbers are expected to carry over to the 2025 model, making it an excellent option if you're for a fuel-efficient vehicle. The estimated range on a full tank of gas is an impressive 498 miles.

The 2.5-liter engine has slightly lower fuel economy ratings of 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. The estimated range for this model is only slightly less at 481 miles. However, it offers more power and a quicker 0-60 mph acceleration time of 7.4 seconds.

2025 Subaru Impreza Trim Levels and Features

Interior Comfort and Technology

The 2025 Impreza boasts a comfortable and well-equipped interior with standard features that are on par with its competitors. Heated front seats come standard on higher trim levels, with the option to add a power driver's seat for added comfort. The dual-zone automatic climate control system and footwell illumination further enhance the vehicle's overall comfort. Head and legroom are generous for both front and rear passengers, with plenty of cargo space in the hatchback body style.

All 2025 Subaru Impreza trim levels will come standard with the STARLINK multimedia system, featuring a dual seven-inch touch-screen display on the base and Sport trims and an impressive 11.6-inch touchscreen for the higher trims. The system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, giving you access to your favorite apps and navigation. Additionally, the Impreza comes standard with four speakers for the base model and six speakers for higher trims, providing high-quality sound throughout the cabin. Optional features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a wireless phone charger.

2025 Subaru Impreza Safety Features

The EyeSight suite, which currently includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control, will continue to be offered for the 2025 model year. Along with these features, automatic high-beam assist, rear-seat alert, and a rearview camera will also come standard. Available safety features for the 2025 Impreza should include reverse automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Which Trim Should You Choose?

Between the three trims, the Base and Sport have more similarities than differences. Both feature the same engine, transmission, and standard safety features. However, the Sport offers a more dynamic driving experience with its SI-DRIVE technology and sport-tuned suspension. It also boasts a larger touch-screen infotainment system and added convenience features, such as folding side mirrors and 4G LTE Wi-Fi capability. The RS takes things up a notch with its more powerful engine, luxury features such as heated front seats, and stylish interior design elements.

We've explored the Subaru Impreza specs in detail, but you may still be wondering which one is right for you. While all three trims offer excellent value, the base model may be the most practical choice if you're looking for a reliable and economical all-wheel-drive vehicle. However, it's worth considering the added features and upgrades offered by the Sport and RS trims, especially if you prioritize a more engaging driving experience or desire a touch of luxury in your daily commute. Ultimately, the right trim level for you depends on your needs and preferences.
